The Tidio alternative
Website chat and an AI agent — without paying per conversation or per contact.
Tidio vs Ignix at a glance
Tidio is a website live-chat and support tool, popular with ecommerce stores for answering customer questions on-site, with AI and human agents.
Its pricing is where it stings: Tidio bills by conversations and puts its Lyro AI replies on a separate quota you top up — so costs climb exactly as your traffic grows. Its inbox does take Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp DMs, but it’s a support tool: it doesn’t publish, schedule or report on your social presence.
Ignix includes an embeddable web chat widget with an AI agent (Sparky) — on flat pricing, with contacts and conversations unlimited from the Blaze plan — and combines it with the scheduling, automation and inbox for all your social channels.
The counting is worth understanding before you commit. Tidio bills by billable conversations — the entry plan covers 100 of them — and the AI sits on its own allowance: that plan includes 50 Lyro conversations as a one-off, not per month. Their own pricing page puts it plainly: you pay separately for AI and for human conversations. Ignix has one number to look at, and conversations are not it.

Questions people ask before switching
- Can I keep my website chat if I move from Tidio?
- Yes. Ignix has its own embeddable chat widget: one script on your site and the conversations land in the same inbox as your Instagram DMs and comments. Past Tidio transcripts do not come across, so most people run both for a week and then switch the script.
- Does the AI agent answer as well as Lyro?
- It answers from your own documents and website, in your voice, and hands over to a human when it should. The real difference is the bill: Tidio puts AI replies on a separate quota you top up, and here they are included with no per-conversation counter.
The verdict
Tidio is a proper support tool and its AI agent is good. But it is priced for a support desk: two meters running at once, one for human conversations and one for AI, and a jump to a three-hundred-a-month tier when you outgrow the small ones. And it starts on your website — your Instagram DMs, your comments and your reviews are somewhere else. Ignix puts all of them in one inbox, with the AI included and nothing counting.
