TikTok
A TikTok scheduler that knows why TikTok says no
Videos and photo carousels from one calendar, auto-published through the official API — with the settings TikTok refuses posts without, made impossible to forget.
TikTok is the network where a scheduled post fails for the strangest reason: not the video, not the caption — the paperwork. Its publishing API requires a privacy level and two explicit consent confirmations on every post, and it rejects anything that arrives without them.
That single fact explains most "my scheduled TikTok never went out" stories. It also explains a nastier one: tools that sent those settings in a format TikTok ignored, so the post DID publish — with the wrong privacy and none of the choices the person had made.
Everything below is what Ignix checks and sends, taken from the same rules the composer enforces. Most of it is free to know, so read it even if you never sign up.
What you can schedule on TikTok
Two formats, and they never mix: a post is either one video or a set of photos. There is no text-only post on TikTok.
Video
One video up to 10 minutes and 4 GB — mp4, mov or webm. Caption up to 2,200 characters. You choose the cover: a frame by its timestamp, or your own image.
Photo carousel
Up to 35 photos (JPEG, PNG or WebP) in one swipeable post. It has its own fields: a title of up to 90 characters, a longer description of up to 4,000, which photo is the cover, and a switch to let TikTok lay music over it.
The five things that make a scheduled TikTok fail
These are the ones that actually happen. Each is enforced in the composer before the post is queued.
Rejected with no visible reason
TikTok’s API requires a privacy level and two explicit confirmations — that you previewed the content and that you consent to posting — on every single post. Miss any of the three and the post is refused. Most schedulers leave them as optional settings buried in a menu.
In Ignix: They are required fields in the composer: a TikTok post cannot be queued without them, so the rejection cannot happen. The privacy options are loaded from your account, so you only see the ones your account really has.
It published — with the wrong privacy
Worse than a rejection: some tools send these settings in a shape TikTok’s pipeline silently ignores, so the post goes out public when you chose followers-only, without the cover you picked and without the AI label. You find out from the published post.
In Ignix: Ignix sends every TikTok setting in the two formats the pipeline accepts, precisely because we hit this once: the settings were being ignored and posts went out bare. The fix is baked in, and it is why this page can name the failure.
The paid-partnership post came down
TikTok expects commercial content to be disclosed: promoting your own brand and posting a paid partnership are two different declarations, and a post can be both at once.
In Ignix: The disclosure selector is in the composer, including the both-at-once case that a single dropdown cannot express. AI-generated video has its own switch, which TikTok increasingly expects.
The cover is a frame you would never have chosen
Left alone, the cover is whatever frame TikTok picks. For a photo carousel, it is the first photo unless you say otherwise.
In Ignix: Videos: pick the exact second, or upload a cover image (up to 20 MB) that takes priority. Carousels: pick which photo is the cover by its position.
The post is live but there is no link to it
TikTok exposes the public URL of a published video minutes after publishing, not at publish time. Any tool that only looks once shows you a post with no link, forever.
In Ignix: Ignix listens for the late signal and fills the link in when it exists, so the published URL appears on its own a few minutes later — no manual refresh.
The photo carousel is the underrated half
Everyone schedules videos. Almost nobody uses the photo side: up to 35 photos in one swipeable post, with its own title, a 4,000-character description and music laid over it — a format that works for menus, catalogues, before-and-afters and step-by-step content, and that costs a fraction of a video to produce.
In the composer it is one switch: pick photo instead of video and the carousel fields appear, cover choice included.
Your best hour, from your own account
Analytics has a “Best time to post” heatmap, weekday by hour, built from what your own posts earned and shown in your own timezone — not a table averaged over accounts that are nothing like yours.
It needs some history before it means anything, and the hour matters less than what people do with the video once it is up. But if you are going to pick a time anyway, pick it from your own numbers.
On the official API, with no password
Ignix publishes through TikTok’s official API. You authorise it from TikTok’s own site; we store no password and no access token — there is nothing in our database that could log into your account.
No browser extension and no automation pretending to be your thumb. Those are the shortcuts that get accounts restricted, and why some tools die overnight when the network changes something.

Questions people ask
Can I schedule TikTok photo carousels, or only videos?
Both. A carousel takes up to 35 photos in JPEG, PNG or WebP, with its own title (90 characters), a longer description (4,000), your choice of cover photo, and an option to let TikTok add music. Photos and video never mix in one post — that is TikTok’s rule, and the composer enforces it.
Why do scheduled TikToks get rejected?
The most common cause is missing paperwork, not bad media: TikTok’s API requires a privacy level and two explicit consent confirmations on every post, and refuses posts that arrive without them. In Ignix those are required fields, so the post cannot be queued incomplete.
How long can a scheduled TikTok video be?
Up to 10 minutes and 4 GB through the API, in mp4, mov or webm. The size and duration are checked when you upload, not when the post fires, so you find out while you are still writing.
Does it publish automatically, or send me a reminder?
Automatically, through the official API — including photo carousels. You do not need to be holding your phone at the scheduled time.
Can I mark branded content and AI-generated video?
Yes. Commercial disclosure covers promoting your own brand, a paid partnership, or both at once — TikTok allows declaring both, and the composer can express that. AI-generated video has its own switch.
Why does the published link take a few minutes to appear?
Because TikTok resolves the public URL after publishing, not at publish time. Ignix listens for it and fills it in automatically as soon as TikTok provides it.
