A Pinterest scheduler that knows a pin is a search result

Image and video pins from one calendar, on the board you choose, with the title, description and link Pinterest uses to rank them — checked before you press schedule.

Ignix is for you if…

Not a feature list — the people it was built for. If three of these sound like you, you will feel at home.

  • You know a pin is a search result and want the title, description and link to work for months.
  • You have had a pin fail because the board was missing.
  • You put the link in the description and wondered why nobody clicked.
  • You post the same product photo on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook and want to do it once.
  • You want to know which pins brought clicks, not just impressions.

Pinterest is not a feed you post to; it is a search engine you pin into. A pin keeps bringing traffic for months, which means the title, the description and the destination link matter more than the hour — and a pin scheduled without a board, or with the link buried in the text, is a pin that does nothing.

Ignix treats a pin the way Pinterest does: a required board, a title, a description with a hard limit, a clickable destination, and for video, a cover you choose. All of it is validated before the pin is queued, so the failure happens on your screen and not at publish time.

Everything below is what the composer enforces, taken from Pinterest’s API limits.

What you can schedule on Pinterest

One image or one video per pin — they never mix — always on a board.

Image pin

One image, JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 32 MB. Title up to 100 characters, description up to 500, a destination link, and the board it goes on.

Video pin

One video, mp4 or mov, up to 2 GB and 15 minutes. Same fields, plus the cover: a second of the video or a cover image you upload.

The five things that make a scheduled pin fail

Each one is enforced in the composer before the pin is queued.

  1. Rejected: no board

Pinterest will not create a pin without a board. Tools that leave the field optional fail at publish time.

In Ignix: The board is required and picked from a list loaded from your Pinterest account — no IDs to copy.

  2. The description was cut at 500

Pinterest’s description limit is a hard 500 characters, and it is where your keywords live.

In Ignix: The counter runs against Pinterest’s real limit and a pin over it cannot be queued.

  3. The link is not clickable

A URL pasted into the description is just text. The pin’s destination is a separate field.

In Ignix: A dedicated link field on every pin, so the click goes where you want.

  4. The video shows a random frame as its cover

Without a cover, Pinterest picks a frame. It is rarely the one you would choose.

In Ignix: Pick the exact second of the video, or upload a cover image that takes priority.

  5. Too big, or the wrong format

Images over 32 MB, videos over 2 GB or 15 minutes, and formats outside JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, mp4 and mov are refused.

In Ignix: Size, duration and format are checked when you attach the file, not when Pinterest answers.

Pins are evergreen: schedule once, recycle later

A good pin keeps working for months, so the calendar treats it that way: schedule the pin, and if it earns, recycle it to another board or with a fresh title later. Analytics shows which pins brought clicks, which is the number that matters on Pinterest.

The same image, native to each network

The product photo goes to Pinterest as a pin with a title and a link, to Instagram as a feed post and to Facebook as a Page post — one post in Ignix, adapted per network, with the caption rewritten for each by AI if you want.

On the official API, with no password

Ignix publishes through Pinterest’s official API. You authorise the account from Pinterest’s own sign-in, we store no password, and you can revoke the access at any time.

Questions people ask

Can I schedule video pins?

Yes: mp4 or mov, up to 2 GB and 15 minutes, with a cover you choose — a second of the video or an uploaded image.

Do I have to pick a board for every pin?

Yes, Pinterest requires it. Ignix loads your boards from your account so you pick from a list.

What are the limits for title and description?

100 characters for the title and 500 for the description, both hard limits enforced in the composer.

Can each pin have its own link?

Yes. The destination link is its own field on every pin — that is where the click goes, independent of the description.

Does it publish automatically?

Yes, through the official API at the scheduled time, with no manual step.

Can I schedule the same image to Pinterest and Instagram?

Yes, as one post with a version per network: Pinterest gets the title, board and link; Instagram gets the caption. The AI can adapt the text for each.
